CLIMBING ON THE DACHSTEIN

Ramsau am Dachstein is considered the number one via ferrata destination for climbers. Nineteen beautiful via ferratas invite you to focus entirely on yourself and the moment, leaving everyday life behind. A children's via ferrata, two youth via ferratas, and many more challenging routes with overhanging rocks and impressive cliff faces are available. At the top, you're rewarded with a unique view – not only of the Hauser Kaibling and the Planai, but even as far as the Czech Republic and Slovenia.

With the Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card, which you receive free of charge when you stay at the Hotel Rösslhof, you can usually even get to the starting point of your tour free of charge and use one mountain railway free of charge every day (1x ascent and descent).

Whether you want to rack up the kilometers, explore the mountains on a mountain bike, race downhill on a downhill run, or enjoy a more leisurely ride with the assistance of an e-bike: in Ramsau and the entire Schladming-Dachstein region, with routes totaling over 25,000 meters of elevation gain and 930 kilometers in length, there's something for every type of rider and every level of fitness.

Furthermore, you can also experience the refreshing water during your summer holiday in Ramsau, Styria, on a hike directly at the source.
